Size: 50FT
Expands to 100 feet under pressure
Shrinks to a third for storage
Light enough to carry one handed

Half a garden goes unwatered because the hose is too heavy to be worth dragging out. This expandable hose weighs a fraction of a rubber one and shrinks back to roughly a third of its length when the tap goes off, so it hangs on a hook instead of sprawling across the lawn. Turn the water on and the inner latex core stretches to a full hundred feet under pressure, then relaxes and drains as soon as you shut off.

The outer jacket is a woven polyester sleeve that takes the abrasion from paths, gravel and fence posts while the latex core handles the pressure. Solid brass fittings thread onto standard outdoor taps without cross threading, and an on off valve at the connector lets you change accessories without walking back to the wall. A multi pattern spray nozzle is included, covering jet, mist, shower and soaker settings.

Good for borders, pots and lawns, washing the car and rinsing down patios and bins. Drain it fully and store it out of direct sun and frost between uses, since UV and freezing water are what shorten the life of the core. Do not leave the hose pressurised and unattended for long stretches, and release the pressure at the tap before you disconnect any fitting.

  • Expanded length: 100ft, contracts to about a third
  • Inner core: latex; outer jacket: woven polyester
  • Fittings: solid brass, standard outdoor tap thread
  • On/off valve at the connector
  • Included: multi pattern nozzle with jet, mist, shower and soaker
  • Store drained, out of sun and frost

100ft Expandable Garden Hose, Stretches To 100 Feet

Stretches To 100 Feet

Turn the tap and the hose grows to its full 100 feet on its own, reaching the far beds and the front drive without a second length. Shut the water off and it draws itself back in.

100ft Expandable Garden Hose, Never Kinks, Never Tangles

Never Kinks, Never Tangles

The flexible inner core cannot fold on itself, so there is no walking back to the tap to free a twist. Water keeps flowing at full pressure from the first foot to the last.

100ft Expandable Garden Hose, Shrinks Back For Storage

Shrinks Back For Storage

Drained and relaxed it packs down to about a third of its length and hangs on a single hook. Plainlys likes the tools that give the shed its space back.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the hose expand?
Water pressure stretches a latex inner tube inside a woven outer jacket, taking the hose out to its full length within seconds. It contracts on its own once you shut the water off.
Will it fit my outdoor tap and attachments?
The fittings are the standard garden hose thread used on outdoor taps, spray nozzles, and sprinklers. Whatever you already own should thread straight on.
What is it made of?
A double layer latex core carries the water inside a tough woven fabric jacket that takes the abrasion. The fittings are solid and hold a seal at the tap.
Can I leave it out in the sun?
It handles a day of watering outdoors without trouble, and hanging it in the shade between uses keeps the core supple for years. Draining it after each session is the one habit that pays off.
Is it strong enough for washing a car?
Yes, it holds normal household pressure comfortably and pairs well with a spray nozzle for cars, patios, and windows. The light weight makes moving around the vehicle easy.
