1200ml size uses far less oil
Built in strainer drains straight into pot
Lid and hook contain splatter

Deep frying in a big pan wastes oil and coats the hob in splatter. This 1200ml pot is sized for the job: a narrow, deep well lets a small volume of oil sit deep enough to actually fry, so chips, tempura, wings or doughnuts cook properly in a fraction of what a wide pan would swallow.

Less oil also means it reaches temperature faster and cools down quicker afterwards. The strainer basket lifts a whole batch clear in one movement and hooks onto the rim so oil drains back into the pot rather than onto the counter. A lid contains splatter while frying and keeps the oil clean between uses. The body is heavy-gauge stainless steel, which spreads heat evenly and will not warp, and the handle sits away from the hottest zone above the oil. It works on both gas and electric hobs.

It handles tempura, karaage, chips, croquettes, samosas, fried chicken and doughnuts in an ordinary domestic kitchen. Hot oil is genuinely dangerous: never fill past the marked level, never leave the pot unattended, keep water and wet food well away, and never try to move a pot of hot oil. Keep children and pets out of the kitchen while frying, and have a lid or fire blanket within reach.

1200ml Deep Fryer Pot with Strainer, Small Batch Frying At Home

Small Batch Frying At Home

The 1200ml pot is deep enough for chicken, fries, tempura and doughnuts but narrow enough that a small amount of oil covers the food. You fry a real portion without filling a stockpot.

1200ml Deep Fryer Pot with Strainer, Lift, Drain, Serve

Lift, Drain, Serve

The strainer basket lifts out and hooks onto the rim so oil drips back into the pot instead of onto the counter. Food finishes crisp and the cleanup is already half done.

1200ml Deep Fryer Pot with Strainer, Fits The Smallest Kitchen

Fits The Smallest Kitchen

One compact pot replaces a bulky fryer, and the basket and lid nest inside for storage. Plainlys chose a footprint that suits a single burner, a dorm hob or a camper kitchen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much oil does it need?
Because the pot is tall and narrow, roughly half a litre is usually enough to submerge a portion. That is a fraction of what a wide pan needs and it heats up much faster.
What is it made of?
The pot and strainer are stainless steel with a heat resistant handle, so they take repeated high heat without warping. The metal cleans up easily and will not hold odours between uses.
Which hobs does it work on?
The flat base works on gas, electric, ceramic and induction hobs. Its small diameter sits neatly on a single burner, which makes it handy for compact and portable setups.
Does it splatter while frying?
The high sides and fitted lid keep oil where it belongs, and hooking the basket on the rim means you never carry dripping food across the kitchen. Frying stays tidy even on an open hob.
How do I clean it?
Let the oil cool, pour it off through the strainer, then wash the pot and basket with warm soapy water or run them through the dishwasher. Stainless steel wipes back to a clean finish quickly.
